Be the hands-on bridge between an in-house brand team and its creative agencies - coordinating, captioning, editing, and creating - for a legacy spice export house's first D2C brand
About the opportunity
You'd be joining a 20-year-old international spice trading and export business as it launches its first consumer-facing brand - a chemical-free, fully traceable staples brand built around transparency and a genuine farm-to-kitchen story. You'd be one of the first hires on the brand's marketing function, working directly with the Brand Manager to bring this story to life across digital platforms.
You'd be based onsite, reporting directly to the Brand Manager.
The mission of this role
The new D2C company already has brand guidelines and products in place and it partners with creative agencies for handling the bulk of campaign strategy, social media, and influencer marketing. Your mission is to be the connective tissue that makes that machine actually work day-to-day and assist the brand manager in coordinating with the agency, keeping the brand voice consistent across every deliverable, and being able to personally execute basic content (captions, Reels-style edits, simple creatives, AI-generated images) whenever something needs to move faster than the agency cycle allows.
This is an assistant-level role in scope, but it's not a "wait for instructions" role - you're expected to spot gaps, flag them, and either fix them yourself or flag them clearly to your manager.
What you'll actually do
- Act as a day-to-day point of coordination between the in-house team and the external creative/social media agency - relaying ideas, feedback, and brand inputs both ways.
- Shoot or coordinate basic phone-level video content (Reels, founder-style content) when something needs in-house execution.
- Do basic video editing (cuts, captions, music/sound hooks) and basic creative design in Canva.
- Generate simple AI images to support content needs.
- Write captions, hooks, and scripts for in-house content.
- Post and schedule content across Instagram and other platforms.
- Repurpose existing content into multiple formats for different platforms.
- Stay current on content trends and the competitive landscape.
- Provide light operational/project assistance to the Brand Manager - helping things move without owning full project management.
Who this role is for
You should be a generalist who's comfortable being hands-on rather than purely strategic - someone who's worked in an agency or in-house marketing setup and knows what "good" looks like, but is equally happy opening Canva or a phone editing app to just get something done.
Hard skills / experience:
- 0–3 years of experience; agency experience (client servicing, project coordination, or content/creative roles) is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Canva for basic creative design.
- Basic phone-level video editing ability (cuts, captions, music) - comfort with the process matters more than mastery of professional editing software.
- Familiarity with generating AI images for content use.
- Experience with a D2C or FMCG brand (in-house or via agency) is preferred but not disqualifying.
- A personal content portfolio or active social presence (your own page, freelance work, agency book) is a genuine plus - the team is looking for someone who creates content, not just manages it.
Soft skills:
- Detail-oriented, especially around brand voice consistency.
- Strong cross-functional coordination - you'll be the bridge between an external agency and internal priorities.
- Proactive and dynamic; comfortable picking up a task on the spot.
- Team player with a critical-thinking approach to creative problems, not just an execution-only mindset.
Non-negotiables
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Ahmedabad (onsite role).
- Must be hands-on with basic editing, mobile phone shoots and writing copy / scripts - this isn't a pure ideas/strategy role.
Logistics
- Office hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, Monday–Saturday, with alternate Saturdays off.
- Location: Sindhu Bhavan, Ahmedabad (onsite).
Where this can lead
This is a founding hire on a team built to grow. As the brand scales its in-house content capability (reducing reliance on the external agency over time), there's room to grow into a more senior content or brand-coordination role.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
