Position: Installation & Service Technician – OEM Coordination

Role Purpose
To execute site surveys, coordinate with OEMs, manage installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites, provide post-installation technical support, and conduct preventive maintenance visits to ensure system health, customer satisfaction, and generation of extended warranty opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Installation Site Survey & Planning
- Visit customer sites to conduct site surveys prior to installation
- Assess infrastructure readiness, including power, cabling, mounting, and space
- Prepare and share material requirement lists with sales, SCM, and OEM teams
- Coordinate with OEMs for technical clarifications and installation guidelines
OEM Coordination
- Act as a point of contact for OEMs for installation planning, approvals, and technical guidance
- Share site details, drawings, and requirements with OEMs
- Coordinate OEM support during complex installations or escalations
Installation & Commissioning
- Carry out installation, configuration, and commissioning once material reaches the site
- Ensure installations are completed as per OEM standards and safety guidelines
- Test systems thoroughly and ensure successful handover to customers
- Provide basic user orientation and operational guidance post-installation
Post-Installation Technical Support
- Provide on-site or remote technical support after installation, as required
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation- or configuration-related issues
- Coordinate with OEMs for advanced support or replacement cases when necessary
Preventive Maintenance Visits
- Conduct preventive maintenance visits to sites where installations were completed 3–6 months earlier
- Inspect equipment condition, cabling, performance, and overall system health
- Identify potential risks, wear & tear, or upgrade requirements
Extended Warranty & Value-Added Leads
- Identify opportunities for extended warranty, AMC, or upgrades during preventive visits
- Share qualified leads with OEMs and internal sales teams
- Support OEM engagement for warranty extensions and renewals
