Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the organization's accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and financial control. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in financial statement preparation, taxation, and regulatory compliance. Experience in the plantation, agriculture, manufacturing, or similar industries will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and other financial reports.
- Finalize books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reports, MIS, and financial analysis.
- Handle end-to-end accounting functions including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Prepare and review bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, customer reconciliations, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with GST, including return filing, input tax credit reconciliation, assessments, and audits.
- Manage TDS calculations, deductions, return filings, reconciliations, and issuance of statutory certificates.
- Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and respond to auditor queries.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow to ensure effective financial management.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation accounting.
- Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act provisions and other applicable statutory regulations.
- Liaise with banks, government departments, consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Develop and strengthen accounting controls and internal financial processes.
- Support management with financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory.
- CA Inter, CMA Inter, M.Com, or equivalent professional qualification will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 6–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
- Prior experience in the plantation, agriculture, manufacturing, FMCG, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Experience in handling complete accounts finalization independently is essential.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
