Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic AVP - Scrum Master to lead multiple software engineering teams within our Platform Modernization initiative. This role is crucial for fostering agile practices, removing impediments, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions as we transform our technology platforms.
Job Responsibilities**
- Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings for multiple development teams.
- Guide and coach the teams on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove them.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
- Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
- Support the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and ensure clear communication of product goals and requirements.
- Lead efforts to continuously improve team performance, efficiency, and collaboration.
- Work closely with other Scrum Masters and project leads to coordinate efforts and manage dependencies across the Platform Modernization program.
- Monitor and report on team progress, identifying potential risks and proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
- Champion a culture of continuous delivery and technical excellence.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master for multiple software development teams.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) required; SAFe certification is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully leading agile transformations and delivering complex software projects.
- Deep understanding of Agile principles, methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and scaling frameworks.
- Strong servant leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience with platform modernization initiatives, including migration to cloud-native architectures or microservices, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
