Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited (USI Tax) supports Deloitte Tax LLP and global teams through tax, reporting, and operational support services. As a Tax Consultant II, you will have the opportunity to support Belgium-based teams across tax accounting and reporting activities while building experience in financial processes, reporting requirements, and digital ways of working. This role offers exposure to cross-border collaboration and the opportunity to contribute to financial statement and reporting activities in a dynamic environment.
Work you'll do
As a Tax Consultant II, you will support our Belgian teams through the fast-changing landscape of tax legislation, financial processes, and digitalization.
You’ll be responsible for your portfolio of engagements. You will take care of their financial administration, processing invoices, etc., and assist on any queries relating to their questions about preparing their annual financial statements.
- Through your work with our diverse Belgian teams, you’ll get an opportunity to build your confidence and understanding of the critical importance of reporting.
- You will gain practical hands-on experience in aspects of financial statements and tax reporting and provide insights through reporting.
- Building your experience and confidence in the tools and techniques as tax accounting & reporting specialist.
- As it’s a Record to Report (R2R), you will perform bookkeeping, in-depth analysis of journals, trial balance, general ledger maintenance, and month-end / period-end closing activities.
- Eventually, you’ll grow in a more senior role supporting the team and taking on other tasks such as review work.
The team
Our multidisciplinary team, based in Belgium, supports companies in their day-to-day business and empowers them to tackle challenging issues. Join our team and you will learn about financial processes and how to apply them in practice, develop your task management and tax technical skills.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- Understand that business insights gained from financial reporting drive better decision making.
- Analytical ability to analyze and possess problem-solving aptitude to provide insights.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of team with professionals at all levels.
- Hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in economics, accountancy, or another financial orientation.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in Record to Report (R2R) or General Ledger accounting.
- Fluency in English language.
- Attention to detail & critical mindset for self-review of work.
Preferred:
- French and Dutch language skills (optional - but definitely will help)
