Role Summary
We are seeking a passionate Functional Medicine Physician/Practitioner who believes in treating the root cause rather than just managing symptoms. The ideal candidate will develop personalized treatment plans using advanced diagnostics, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and evidence-based therapies to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive functional medicine consultations.
Review medical history, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, stress, and environmental factors.
Interpret advanced blood biomarkers and diagnostic reports.
Develop personalized treatment plans including:
Nutrition therapy
Lifestyle modification
Functional supplementation
Exercise & Movement RX
Stress and sleep optimization
Monitor patient progress through periodic biomarker reviews.
Collaborate with nutritionists, physiotherapists, health coaches, and specialists.
Educate patients on preventive healthcare and long-term wellness.
Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
Participate in clinical research, protocol development, and continuous medical education.
Support development of innovative Functional Medicine and Longevity programs at OPTM.
Required Qualifications
MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BNYS/MD (as applicable under local regulations)
Certification or training in Functional Medicine (preferred)
2–5 years of experience in Functional or Integrative Medicine
Strong understanding of nutrition, metabolic health, obesity, inflammation, and chronic disease management
Ability to interpret advanced laboratory investigations
Excellent communication and patient counselling skills
Preferred Experience
Functional Medicine certification (IFM or equivalent preferred)
Experience managing obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, or longevity programs.
Experience with biomarker-based healthcare and personalized medicine.
Familiarity with GLP-1 therapy, body composition analysis, and preventive healthcare is an advantage.
