Accountant Job Description
An Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining a company's financial records accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Recording daily financial transactions
- Preparing invoices, vouchers, and receipts
- Maintaining cash book and bank book
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Preparing monthly financial reports
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Assisting with payroll processing
- Filing GST, TDS, and other tax-related returns (if applicable)
- Supporting audits and compliance activities
- Monitoring company expenses and budgets
Required Skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (such as Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, etc.)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
