JOB DESCRIPTION – PRODUCTION MANAGER (HVAC MANUFACTURING)

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma – Mechanical / Production / HVAC or equivalent
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager – HVAC Manufacturing to lead and manage end-to-end production operations. The role will be responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, optimizing manpower and resources, reducing manufacturing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of HVAC products.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in HVAC manufacturing, production planning, shop-floor management, team leadership, process improvement, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
- Plan, schedule, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
- Ensure achievement of production targets as per customer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with PPC, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch departments.
- Monitor production capacity and optimize machine and manpower utilization.
- Ensure smooth production flow and minimize bottlenecks.
2. HVAC Manufacturing Operations
- Manage manufacturing activities related to HVAC equipment and systems.
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and manufacturing processes.
- Monitor processes such as sheet-metal fabrication, cutting, bending, welding, assembly, insulation, electrical/control panel integration, testing, and final inspection, as applicable.
- Ensure proper handling and utilization of materials, components, tools, and equipment.
3. Quality Management
- Ensure production is carried out according to defined quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with the Quality team to reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring production issues.
- Maintain process discipline and ensure compliance with SOPs and quality procedures.
4. Manpower & Team Management
- Lead, train, and develop production supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators.
- Allocate manpower according to production priorities and workload.
- Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and discipline.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
5. Productivity & Cost Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, line balancing, and other productivity initiatives.
- Monitor production efficiency, OEE, downtime, material consumption, and wastage.
- Reduce scrap, rework, idle time, and process losses.
6. Maintenance & Machine Availability
- Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure maximum availability of production equipment.
- Monitor machine breakdowns and downtime.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Ensure production equipment is operated safely and effectively.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety policies and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular shop-floor safety checks.
- Ensure employees use appropriate PPE and follow safe operating procedures.
- Promote a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
