- Handle fabric merchandising from development to bulk production and shipment.
- Study buyer requirements, tech packs, fabric specifications, and seasonal developments.
- Coordinate fabric development with mills and suppliers.
- Source suitable fabrics based on quality, construction, composition, color, finish, and price.
- Follow up on lab dips, strike-offs, fabric submissions, approvals, and comments.
- Prepare and negotiate fabric costing and quotations.
- Place fabric orders and monitor production schedules.
- Track fabric availability, lead times, and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with dyeing, printing, finishing, and processing units.
- Ensure fabric quality meets buyer specifications and approved standards.
- Follow up on fabric testing, inspection, and quality reports.
- Resolve fabric quality issues, shortages, delays, and production problems.
- Maintain accurate records of fabric developments, orders, approvals, and deliveries.
- Coordinate closely with the garment merchandising and production teams to meet shipment deadlines.
- Negotiate with suppliers on price, quality, MOQ, payment terms, and delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with fabric mills and suppliers.
- Support the team in identifying new fabrics, suppliers, and cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
- Guide junior merchandisers and support day-to-day team activities.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
