Role Overview
As a Principal Site Reliability Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing complex Oracle database systems. This role demands deep technical expertise in PL/SQL, database architecture, and performance tuning, along with the ability to engage with customers and internal stakeholders. You will contribute to building robust, scalable data solutions while ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across large-scale environments.

Must-Have Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL development and Oracle database internals
Expertise in Oracle versions 19c, 21c, and 23ai
Advanced SQL tuning and performance optimization skills (AWR/ASH, SQL Monitor, TKPROF, Explain Plans, Optimizer Hints)
Experience with partitioning, materialized views, and analytical functions
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
Knowledge of distributed databases, sharding, and massively parallel processing systems
Experience with high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across database and application layers
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with internet-scale applications
Familiarity with Oracle Globally Distributed Database
Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Exposure to DevOps practices and tools such as Terraform
Experience writing and publishing technical white papers
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle database objects including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers using PL/SQL
Lead SQL tuning and query optimization initiatives using AWR/ASH reports, SQL monitoring tools, and execution plan analysis
Architect and implement efficient database schemas to support both transactional and analytical workloads
Collaborate closely with application developers, QA, and documentation teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Work with customers, partners, and internal teams (sales, support) to drive successful product adoption
Develop demos and technical showcases to highlight product capabilities
Troubleshoot and debug issues across databases, applications, and related systems
Proactively identify risks, performance bottlenecks, and system inefficiencies, and implement effective solutions
Support high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in enterprise environments
