Die Position
We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Specialist who independently leads EWM solution delivery, proactively solves product issues, and contributes to the architecture for the global Roche ASPIRE EWM System.
In this role, you will guide product developments, champion accountability, and effectively communicate with all stakeholders. You will solve complex problems, make independent product-level decisions, provide technical oversight, and report at the product level. By bringing advanced EWM knowledge, expertise within GxP environments, and strong analytical skills, you will actively contribute to continuous improvement and the evolution of our warehouse processes across Roche.

Job Responsibilities
- Scope: Works and leads independently to deliver solution design with increased complexity (e.g., technical, scope, stakeholders) in the EWM area that meet product requirements and business priorities. Proactively identifies issues at the product level, proposes ideas on how to tackle them, and keeps applying a continuous improvement mindset. Documents and evolves the architecture throughout the EWM product life cycle, and leads the development of medium to complex changes. Evaluates, pilots, and drives the adoption of new business processes while providing technical oversight and consultation. Supports larger initiatives as a single point of contact for the EWM system as needed.
- Accountability/Problem Solving: Determines methods and procedures on assignments and coordinates or guides the activities of others in the team. Champions accountability by example (such as taking tech lead and/or product owner roles) and helps drive the successful completion of major product milestones. Solves complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity, taking a new perspective on existing solutions and exercising judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Independently makes decisions with impact at the product level under limited direction. Analyzes current warehouse processes and recommends SAP EWM enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Manages interfaces between SAP EWM and other systems, like e.g. MES and troubleshoot data flow issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Interacts within and across multiple product teams within a domain, working directly with all stakeholders from the business and within IT. Communicates information, issues, and potential solutions to the product team or squad and to external stakeholders. Proactively communicates across work-streams, taking responsibility for fostering teamwork, resolving confusion or miscommunication, and facilitating discussions.
- Impact/Strategy: Makes an impact that is typically limited to the EWM system and its interfaces. Identifies opportunities and improves existing solutions to enhance value and business processes, providing technical oversight and guidance for the product teams.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
- A minimum of five years of experience is required in independently leading and delivering complex solution designs and products within the Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) domain.
- Background in logistics or supply chain.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working within a validated environment, including the creation and execution of test scripts and solution documentation.
Technical Skills
- SAP EWM certifications.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP Decentral EWM, with general and in-depth knowledge in some areas, e.g. production integration, TM integration, batch management, quality integration.
- Good knowledge of architecture practices, and the ability to document and evolve architecture throughout the product life cycle.
- Senior level of business process domain knowledge in the warehouse space.
- Understanding of GxP practices.
- Knowledge in the SAFe Agile Framework and how to apply it.
