Job purpose:
We are looking for a remote Full Charge Corporate Bookkeeper. The team member (TM) will be responsible for handling the corporate books for three closely related entities and supporting the Finance Team with day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, and financial analysis.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Daily maintenance of bank feeds.
- Daily coding of transactions to proper GL accounts and related research.
- Maintain rules for transactions and develop efficiencies for posting large batches of transactions each day.
- Weekly activities include posting and paying invoices.
- Monthly activities include bank reconciliations, ledger tie-outs, journal entry postings, inter-company billing, and other duties required to close the books each month.
- Analyze financial results and post information into monthly reports for the Executive Team.
- Prepare regular management reports, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
- Assist with preparation of annual budgets for multiple companies.
- Support the opening and closing of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
- Work collaboratively as part of the Financial Team. Attend required weekly meetings and actively participate by setting goals and completing assigned tasks.
- Prepare written reports to accompany financial data.
- Analyze data, problems, and issues; formulate solutions; and execute resolutions.
- Demonstrate at least an intermediate understanding of both cash and accrual accounting principles.
- Learn and adapt to new software systems as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Applicants may be asked to complete a written skills assessment/test during the hiring process.
Education and Experience:
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Well-organized and self-motivated.
- Detail-oriented with a professional attitude and strong reliability.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, research, resolution, documentation, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing (NEUTRAL ACCENT).
- Ability to interact professionally with employees and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Familiarity with CINC is a plus.
Working conditions
This is a fully remote position. Applicants must meet certain requirements for a working computer and consent to our IT department conducting an analysis of the computer for cybersecurity and safety purposes.
Expected Work Times
Candidates are generally expected to work during U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours. The TM must be available during working hours for meetings and accessible by phone/text during the workday.
This is a full-time contract position. Payments are made via Wise on the 15th and 30th of each month. While this is a contractor role, we do offer a variety of perks for our contractors.
Pay: ₹757.85 - ₹852.58 per hour
