Job Summary:
Hobb International Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Sourcing/Vendor Specialist to manage and optimize our international procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in global sourcing, preferably in engineering, metal, or overhead industries, with strong vendor development, negotiation, and supply chain management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and develop global suppliers for raw materials, components, and finished goods related to steel engineering products.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve cost optimization, quality improvement, and timely delivery.
- Conduct price negotiations, contract finalization, and long-term supplier agreements.
- Develop alternate sourcing strategies to reduce dependency and mitigate supply risks.
- Monitor global market trends, raw material pricing, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and company requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Design, QA, Finance) for seamless procurement operations.
- Manage import processes including documentation, logistics coordination, and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, delivery, and service metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing and supply chain efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in global sourcing or procurement.
- Experience in steel engineering products, metal components, or Transmission & Distribution industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of international trade, import regulations, and logistics.
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel internationally for supplier development if required.
