Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced L2 Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in ITIL processes, Unix/Linux administration, SQL, and production support within Capital Markets environments. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring stability, availability, and performance of critical trading and post-trade applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 production support for Capital Market applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, middleware, and database-related issues.
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management.
- Monitor production systems and ensure SLA adherence.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution.
- Handle deployment support, release validation, and change management activities.
- Analyze logs, system alerts, and batch failures in Unix/Linux environments.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and issue troubleshooting.
- Participate in on-call support and weekend releases when required.
- Prepare operational documentation and support runbooks.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and operational governance.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in L2 Application Support.
- Hands-on expertise in Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting. (Mandatory)
- Strong SQL skills (Oracle/SQL Server preferred).(Mandatory SQL)
- CICD is mandatory.
- Experience with ITIL processes:
- Incident Management
- Problem Management
- Change Management
- Release Management
- Experience in production monitoring and support tools.
- Good understanding of batch processing and job scheduling.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Autosys, Control-M, Splunk, AppDynamics, Geneos, ELK or similar monitoring tools.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell).
- Experience with middleware technologies.
- Cloud exposure is an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Notice Period
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
