Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, ethical, and child-focused Pedodontist (Pediatric Dentist) who is passionate about delivering exceptional dental care to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. The role combines clinical excellence, preventive dentistry, behavior management, administrative responsibility, multidisciplinary collaboration, and participation in the clinic's educational and digital outreach initiatives within a modern, technology-driven dental practice.
Clinical Responsibilities (Pedodontist Role)
- Perform comprehensive oral examinations and risk assessments for infants, children, and adolescents.
- Diagnose and manage dental caries, developmental anomalies, traumatic dental injuries, and oral pathologies in pediatric patients.
- Perform preventive procedures including oral prophylaxis, fluoride therapy, pit and fissure sealants, and caries risk management.
- Carry out pediatric restorative procedures, pulp therapies, stainless steel crowns, esthetic crowns, strip crowns, and space maintainers.
- Perform preventive and interceptive orthodontic procedures within the scope of pediatric dentistry.
- Manage pediatric dental emergencies, including trauma, pain, swelling, and infections.
- Apply evidence-based behavior management techniques to ensure positive dental experiences.
- Treat children with special healthcare needs using individualized treatment approaches.
- Administer nitrous oxide inhalation sedation where indicated and trained.
- Participate in treatment planning and execution of full mouth rehabilitation cases under general anaesthesia in collaboration with anaesthesiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
- Educate parents regarding oral hygiene, infant oral care, dietary counselling, fluoride use, habit cessation, and preventive dentistry.
- Maintain strict asepsis, infection control, and child safety protocols.
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation, informed consent, and photographic records where appropriate.
Associate Dentist Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric dental evaluations and formulate individualized treatment plans.
- Perform routine pediatric dental procedures within the scope of specialty practice.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with orthodontists, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, endodontists, and other specialists.
- Ensure continuity of treatment and regular preventive recall visits.
- Build long-term trust and rapport with children and their parents or caregivers.
- Promote minimally invasive and preventive approaches to pediatric dental care.
- Guide junior clinicians, interns, and clinical assistants in pediatric protocols and behavior management techniques when required.
Administrative & Practice Management Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records, treatment notes, consent forms, and clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with the front office regarding appointments, treatment scheduling, billing, and patient recalls.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, quality audits, and continuing education programs.
- Monitor pediatric clinical materials and notify inventory requirements in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with clinic SOPs, DCI regulations, infection control standards, and ethical practice guidelines.
- Address patient and parent queries professionally and empathetically.
- Assist in maintaining quality assurance, patient safety, and standardized pediatric clinical protocols.
Digital Marketing & Clinic Branding Responsibilities
- Assist in creating ethical, educational, and evidence-based pediatric dental content for parents and caregivers.
- Participate in clinical photography and videography with appropriate informed consent.
- Support documentation of preventive, restorative, interceptive orthodontic, and rehabilitation cases for educational purposes.
- Collaborate with the clinic's marketing team/agency for:
- Instagram and Facebook educational content
- Google Business Profile updates
- Parent education videos, reels, posts, and stories
- Preventive dentistry and child oral health awareness campaigns
- Contribute ideas for school dental programs, oral health camps, and community outreach initiatives.
- Help maintain a professional online presence consistent with the clinic's branding and ethical standards.
- Ensure all digital content complies with DCI regulations, patient confidentiality requirements, and ethical advertising guidelines.
