Job Summary
The Counter Staff member is responsible for assisting customers at the sales counter, handling billing transactions, maintaining product displays, and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced food and retail environment. The role involves selling sweets, snacks, bakery items, and gift products while maintaining hygiene and store standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and assist them with product selection.
- Explain product varieties, pricing, offers, and gift packaging options.
- Handle billing using POS systems and process cash, card, and UPI payments accurately.
- Pack products neatly and ensure correct order delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the counter and display area.
- Refill shelves and monitor product stock availability.
- Coordinate with kitchen/store staff for smooth operations.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Follow company SOPs related to food safety and customer service.
- Assist during festivals, peak hours, and promotional events.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum qualification: 10th / Intermediate / Any Degree
- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply
- Good communication skills in Telugu, Hindi, and basic English
- Basic billing and computer knowledge preferred
- Customer-friendly attitude and grooming standards
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and weekends
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail, bakery, sweets, café, or food outlets
- Knowledge of POS billing systems
- Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities
