Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and versatile 3D Animation Generalist to spearhead the visual development and production of a Gujarati nursery rhyme YouTube channel. Your primary goal is to translate traditional folk songs (starting with "Chakkiben Chakkiben") into a high-quality, 3D animated world similar in aesthetic to ownership guidelines.
You will be responsible for the entire pipeline—from character design and modeling to final rendering—building a reusable library of assets to ensure long-term production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Creation: Design, model, and texture "stylized" 3D characters and environments that are bright, rounded, and child-friendly.
- Character Rigging: Build robust, reusable skeletons (rigs) for human characters and animals (e.g., the Chakkiben sparrow) to allow for expressive movement.
- Animation: Create engaging, high-energy character performances synced to Gujarati nursery rhymes.
- Scene Assembly: Handle lighting, "set dressing," and camera placement to achieve a "cinematic toy-box" look.
- Rendering & Optimization: Manage the rendering process (using Cycles/Eevee or Unreal Engine) and optimize files for cloud render farms or using equipment given.
- Pipeline Management: Organize a library of reusable motions, props, and textures to speed up production for subsequent videos.
Required Technical Skills
- Expertise in Blender (preferred), Autodesk Maya, Adobe After effects.
- Proficiency in Texturing: Adobe Substance 3D Painter or Adobe Photoshop.
- Rigging Knowledge: Ability to create facial expressions (shape keys/blend shapes) for lip-syncing.
- Lighting & Rendering: A strong eye for "High-Key" lighting and soft-shadow aesthetics.
- Video Editing: Basic skills in DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere for final assembly and lyric overlays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Style Match: A portfolio demonstrating "Stylized/Cute" 3D work (not hyper-realistic or gritty).
- Cultural Awareness: An understanding of authentic visual storytelling following leadership guidelines.
- Efficiency: Experience using AI-assisted tools (like Mixamo or AI-mocap) to speed up the animation process.
