Unified Elevators is a growing provider of elevator and vertical transportation solutions, serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers across Kerala. We are looking for a motivated Sales Engineer who can combine technical expertise with strong relationship-building skills to drive business growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Role Overview
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, meeting prospective clients, understanding project requirements, and recommending suitable elevator solutions. You will work closely with architects, builders, consultants, contractors, and homeowners while coordinating with internal technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Generate new business opportunities across assigned territories.
- Build relationships with architects, builders, contractors, consultants, and homeowners.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Conduct market research and monitor competitor activities.
- Represent the company at networking events, exhibitions, and industry meetings.
Sales & Client Management
- Conduct client meetings and site visits.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable elevator solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
- Present technical and commercial proposals to prospective customers.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
- Follow up consistently to convert opportunities into sales.
Technical Consultation
- Assess site conditions and project requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure technical feasibility.
- Explain product specifications, features, and benefits to customers.
- Assist clients in selecting the right elevator models and configurations.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with installation and project teams after order confirmation.
- Ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution.
- Monitor project progress and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Address customer concerns and provide timely resolutions.
Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records in CRM systems.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Track sales performance and forecast future business opportunities.
- Share customer feedback and market insights with management.
Qualifications
- Diploma, B.Tech, or B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA in Marketing is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1 to 5 years of sales experience in elevators, construction, engineering products, building materials, or related industries.
- Fresh graduates with excellent communication and sales aptitude are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Technical understanding of engineering products or elevator systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and customer-focused approach.
Preferred Profile
- Prior experience in the elevator industry.
- Existing network among builders, architects, contractors, and consultants.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Kerala.
- Valid driving license preferred.
