Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and research-driven Product Development specialist responsible for building a
strong and sustainable pipeline of new products.
The role focuses on extensive market research, trend analysis, development and launch of branded products,
subscription box and identifying growth opportunities that directly contribute to increased sales and revenue.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Market Research & Trend Analysis:
Conduct extensive market research to identify customer needs, gaps, and emerging opportunities
Analyze consumer behavior, competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and product performance
Track industry trends, innovations, and market shifts to recommend new product ideas
Research and launch new products every month ; 1 subscription box a year to boost overall
subscribers.
2. Product Development & Pipeline Building:
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of new products aligned with company strategy and brand
positioning.
Conceptualize, design, and launch new branded products from ideation to commercialization.
Coordinate with internal teams (creative, content, marketing, sourcing, supply chain, sales) to
ensure successful product launches.
Create pipeline of 6 months in advance ( for One timers and Subscription Box) so timely sea
shipments can be taken place.
Negotiate with vendors to source at competitive price without compromising with quality.
3. Branding & Product Positioning:
Work closely with marketing and branding teams to define product positioning, USP, and go-to market strategy
Ensure products align with brand guidelines and target audience expectations
Work Closely with performance marketing & Growth team to align paid ads & organic sales.
4. Sales & Revenue Growth:
Identify products and categories with high revenue and margin potential
Use data-driven insights to support decisions that improve product success and market penetration
Monitor post-launch performance and suggest improvements to maximize sales
Monitor closely customer feedback & sentiments for future improvements/development.
Skills & Qualifications:
4–7 years of experience in product development, product research, or category management,
preferably in a D2C, FMCG, wellness, or subscription-based business.
Strong expertise in market research and trend analysis, with the ability to identify customer needs,
market gaps, and emerging opportunities.
Proven experience in end-to-end product development, from ideation and vendor sourcing to
launch and post-launch optimization.
Ability to build and manage a 6-month forward product pipeline for both one-time products and
subscription boxes.
Experience coordinating cross-functionally with creative, marketing, sourcing, supply chain, sales,
performance marketing, and growth teams.
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills to source high-quality products at competitive
pricing.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze sales performance, margins, customer feedback, and
market data to guide decisions.
Understanding of branding, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies aligned with target
audiences.
Strong project management, organizational, and execution skills to manage multiple product
launches simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills with a proactive, ownership-driven, and research-oriented approach.
