Major Purpose of the Job : Responsible for Preventive and breakdown maintenance of all critical utility machines like Boiler, Air Compressors, Chillers, Cooling towers, DG Sets, Diesel Pumps and other plant machinery, with a focus on mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment reliability. The person should have working experience on specific machines in the injection utility plant, such as the Boiler, Air Compressors, Chillers, Cooling towers, DG Sets, Diesel Pumps and other plant machinery etc. Principal task and responsibilities: Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, Good Engineering Practices (GEP), and all applicable statutory laws, rules, and regulations Responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of critical utility equipment including Boilers, Air Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Towers, DG Sets, Diesel Pumps and other plant machinery. Perform troubleshooting, fault finding, and root-cause analysis of mechanical breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability. Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for utility equipment as per OEM recommendations and plant maintenance requirements. Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of Boilers, compressors, chillers, cooling towers, DG sets, pumps, and associated mechanical systems in the injection utility plant. Monitor equipment health through inspection, vibration/noise checks, lubrication, temperature monitoring, alignment, and condition assessment. Carry out mechanical maintenance activities such as bearing replacement, seal/gasket replacement, pump overhauling, coupling alignment, valve maintenance, and mechanical repairs. Coordinate with production, electrical, instrumentation, and utility teams for planned maintenance, breakdown resolution, and smooth plant operations. Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, checklists, breakdown reports, and PM documentation, and ensure timely closure of maintenance activities. Ensure availability of critical spare parts, tools, and consumables, and coordinate with stores/purchase teams to avoid maintenance-related delays. Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, LOTO, statutory requirements, and housekeeping standards while carrying out maintenance activities, with a strong focus on equipment reliability and continuous improvement. Support installation, commissioning, modification, and relocation of utility and plant equipment. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out as per SOPs, safety procedures, and statutory requirements. Coordinate with external vendors/contractors for specialized maintenance, servicing, and equipment overhauling.
