Role of a Senior Accountant :
- Manage day-to-day accounting and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Review accounting entries, ledgers, bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations.
- Handle GST compliance – GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, ITC, e-invoicing and e-way bills.
- Handle TDS compliance – deduction, payment, returns, reconciliation and certificates.
- Monitor statutory dues and ensure timely compliance.
- Assist in income tax, audit and assessment-related matters.
- Prepare monthly MIS, profitability, expense and cash-flow reports.
- Analyse financial data and highlight variances, risks and irregularities.
- Review expenses, purchases, sales and other major financial transactions.
- Monitor receivables, payables and working capital.
- Supervise and review the work of junior accounting staff.
- Establish and monitor internal financial controls.
- Coordinate with CA, auditors, tax consultants and other professionals.
- Support management in budgeting, forecasting, cost control and financial planning
