NMG Technologies is looking to grow the testing team for which a Manual Tester will play a critical role. You will be responsible for: We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester with 4 years of hands-on experience in mobile apps, web, API, and database testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring our software solutions meet the highest quality standards.
Required Candidate Skills:
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and wireframes to create detailed, comprehensive, and well structured test cases.
- Perform manual testing for mobile apps (iOS and Android), responsive web apps, and back-end platforms.
- Conduct cross-browser testing and device compatibility testing.
- Execute API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger; validate request-response data and authentication flows.
- Validate backend data and ensure database integrity via SQL queries.
- Report, track, and retest bugs using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or ClickUp.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers in Agile/Scrum teams to clarify requirements and raise issues early.
- Conduct regression testing, smoke testing, and sanity testing for major and minor releases.
- Contribute to test documentation and QA best practices.
Required Skills-
- 4+ years of experience in manual testing
- Strong knowledge of:
- Mobile App Testing (UI/UX, functional, device-specific scenarios)
- Website Testing (cross-browser, responsive behavior, usability)
- API Testing (Postman, REST APIs, JSON/XML validation)
- Database Testing (basic SQL queries, data verification)
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Good verbal and written communication skill.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with test case management tools (TestRail, Zephyr).
- Exposure to basic automation tools (Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
- Understanding of version control systems (Git).
