· Entering the details of the received specimens in the main register.
· Performing the basic tests required for the specimens that are received.
· Recording the test results in the register.
· Collecting samples for both OP & IP in the hospital.
· Transporting the samples collected to lab.
· Giving instructions to the patient for special test regarding sample collection.
· Performing basic routine lab tests.
· Coordinating for sending samples to be tested in the outside labs.
· Receiving and processing the specimens.
· Generating lab investigation report for all OP & IP patients.
· Typing and dispatching all the investigations to the respective areas.
· Ensuring all the lab reports are typed and dispatched.
· To follow critical result reporting policy register.
· Performing all basic & special tests and reporting the results in all lab sections.
· Preparing all reagents.
· To ensure laboratory safety including infection control practices and BMW management.
· Maintaining lab stock.
· Verifying the expiry date of the kits received in the lab and storing them at proper places.
· Entering the breakdown of machines and informing the same to concern.
