READ THIS BEFORE YOU APPLY
We close deals. We don't manage tickets.
TPSTECH sells high-value electronics, (GPUs, PC components, NAS hardware, etc) to buyers who are price-sensitive, comparison-happy, and one bad response away from going to competitors. Our customers find us through WhatsApp, calls, and the website. They are already shopping. Your job is to make sure they buy from us.
If your instinct is to reply, log, and wait — this is not your role. If your instinct is to qualify, pitch, handle the objection, and close the same conversation — keep reading.
ABOUT TPSTECH
Since 2014, TPSTECH (tpstech.in) has fulfilled 15 lakh+ orders — selling genuine PC components, GPUs, NAS, networking, and accessories across India. We are not a marketplace. We are a specialist store where customers come for advice, compatibility support, and products they can trust.
We run a lean, high-output team. Every inquiry is a revenue opportunity. We need someone who treats it like one.
WHAT YOU OWN IN THIS ROLE
1. Inquiry-to-Payment Conversion
- Own every inbound inquiry from first message to confirmed payment — WhatsApp, phone, and website chat.
- Qualify leads in under 2 minutes: budget, use case, timeline, and purchase readiness.
- Recommend the right product with conviction — gaming GPU vs workstation GPU, NVMe Gen 4 vs Gen 5, OEM battery vs compatible — without needing to escalate every technical question.
- Push for same-day payment before the dispatch cutoff. Create urgency that is real, not fabricated.
- Conversion rate is your scoreboard. You track it. You own it. You improve it.
2. Objection Handling — No Soft Exits
- "Amazon has it ₹3,000 cheaper" — you know this conversation cold and you win it on trust, warranty, and genuine stock, not by matching price.
- "I'll check and get back" — you know what to say to keep the conversation alive without being pushy.
- "Is this product genuine?" — you close this in one message. You know TPSTECH's credibility story by heart.
- Technical objections — compatibility, generation, socket type, PCIe slot, RAM spec — you handle them or find the answer in minutes, not hours.
- You never let an objection be the last word. Every no is a question in disguise.
3. Lead Follow-Up — Relentless but Smart
- Maintain a live pipeline of every open inquiry. Nothing falls through.
- Structured follow-up: Day 1, Day 3, Day 7 — with a reason to re-engage, not just 'just checking in'.
- Re-activate cold leads when stock changes, price drops, or a new batch arrives.
- Track your own conversion rate weekly. Know which lead sources convert better and push for more of them.
4. Shopify Fluency — You Work the Platform, Not Around It
- Create and manage orders directly in Shopify Admin — manual orders, payment link generation, discount codes, and draft orders for high-value customers.
- Check live inventory, product variants, and pricing in Shopify before committing anything to a customer.
- Process and track order status, fulfilment updates, and customer-facing notes inside Shopify without needing help.
- Identify and flag catalogue problems spotted during sales conversations — wrong pricing, missing variants, stock discrepancies — directly in the system.
- Use Shopify's order data to spot patterns: which products are selling fast, which are sitting, which categories are spiking this week.
5. Data Awareness — You Read the Numbers, Then Act
This is not an analytics role — but numbers make you a better closer.
A Sales Associate who can read basic data — and act on it — converts more and earns more. Here is the level we expect:
- Products: Know which SKUs are selling fastest this week. When a customer is undecided between two options, you recommend the one with better demand — it ships reliably and signals market confidence.
- Leads: Track which inquiry sources convert at higher rates (WhatsApp vs website vs call). Understand which product categories attract buyers vs browsers. Spend your follow-up energy on the leads most likely to close.
- Weekly self-review: How many inquiries did I get? How many did I convert? What are my top 3 lost-deal reasons? What will I change next week?
- Tools: Excel / Google Sheets for your own pipeline and conversion tracker. Shopify reports for order trends. You build and maintain your own sales dashboard — no one does it for you.
6. Warehouse & Logistics Coordination
- Confirm real-time stock with the warehouse before promising dispatch timelines to customers.
- Coordinate same-day dispatch priority for high-value or time-sensitive orders.
- Update customers proactively on dispatch and tracking — before they have to ask.
- Surface recurring stock-out patterns to ops: if 10 customers this week asked for the same out-of-stock GPU, that is a signal worth escalating.
WHO WE NEED
You're built for this if…
- A warm lead going cold makes you physically uncomfortable.
- You reply within minutes. Not hours. Minutes.
- You see 'Competition has it cheaper' as a conversation opener, not a conversation ender.
- You track your own numbers without being asked — because you want to improve them.
- You can navigate Shopify Admin without a tutorial.
- You can explain PCIe Gen 4 vs Gen 5 to a buyer who doesn't know what a slot is.
- You are motivated by what you close, not what you do.
- You own your pipeline the way a founder owns their business.
Don't apply if…
- You need someone else to chase leads you couldn't close.
- You treat WhatsApp inquiries as a queue to clear, not deals to close.
- High transaction values make you hesitate instead of engage.
- You log calls without following up on them.
- You need a structured, scripted playbook for every situation.
- You think data is someone else's department.
- You want a role that's mostly inbound and low-pressure.
- 'I'll check and get back to you' is an acceptable answer to a live lead.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You Must Have
- 1–4 years in telesales, inside sales, eCommerce sales, or electronics retail.
- Demonstrated ability to close high-consideration purchases — not just process orders.
- Strong written and spoken communication in English and Hindi — professional, fast, and clear.
- Shopify Admin proficiency: order management, inventory checking, draft orders, discount codes.
- Excel or Google Sheets: you can build a lead tracker, apply filters, and read a pivot table without help.
- Comfort handling ₹50,000–₹2,00,000 transactions — you don't flinch, you engage.
Strong Advantage
- Experience selling PC components, GPUs, laptops, or consumer electronics.
- Familiarity with Shopify analytics, Google Sheets dashboards, or any basic CRM.
- Ability to field technical questions on GPU specs, CPU sockets, RAM types, NVMe interfaces — or willingness to learn fast.
- Prior experience in a small team where you owned the full sales cycle end-to-end.
- Understanding of why customers choose specialist stores over Amazon — and how to articulate it.
COMPENSATION & GROWTH
Fixed salary + performance incentive. No cap.
You are selling orders that average ₹10,000–₹2,00,000. A single well-handled ₹1,50,000 GPU deal can move your monthly incentive number meaningfully. This is not a role where you grind 300 small tickets for a marginal bonus. Every conversation has real value — and your incentive reflects it.
Incentive structure is transparent, reviewed monthly, and tied directly to your conversion output — not a black-box performance rating.
Growth Path
- Sales Associate → Senior Sales Associate → Sales Lead in 12–18 months based on conversion performance, not time served.
- Exposure to eCommerce operations, catalogue strategy, B2B sales, and product analytics as the business grows.
- Direct access to the founder. No layers. Good ideas get implemented.
