Job Description of Blister Machine operator
A Blister Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining packaging machinery to securely package products (especially pharmaceuticals, food, and consumer goods) into pre-formed plastic or foil blister packs. They ensure machinery runs efficiently while strictly meeting product safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:-
- Machine Setup & Operation: Configure machines, load raw materials (forming films, lidding foils, and batch codes), and adjust parameters like speed, temperature, and pressure for specific product sizes.
- Quality Control: Regularly inspect packs for sealing integrity, fill accuracy, and correct batch coding to prevent defects or leaks.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs. Immediately diagnose and fix equipment jams or film tears to minimize downtime.
- Compliance & Documentation: Adhere strictly to industry regulations like Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain accurate, up-to-date production and maintenance logs.
Core Skills Required
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of gears, pneumatic systems, and machine controls.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot slight misalignments and ensure exact fill weights.
- Problem-Solving: Capability to quickly troubleshoot machine faults and fix malfunctions on the floor.
- Hygiene & Safety Standards: Awareness of personal hygiene, dust masks, and safety protocols to ensure a contamination-free work environment.
