The Sales & Marketing Executive is responsible for promoting the hotel’s rooms, banquet facilities, restaurant services, and other hospitality offerings to increase revenue, occupancy, and customer satisfaction. The role involves developing business relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and executing marketing activities to strengthen the hotel’s brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote hotel rooms, banquet halls, restaurant services, and other hotel facilities.
- Identify and develop new corporate, travel agent, event, and institutional clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure repeat business.
- Conduct sales visits, presentations, and follow-up meetings with potential clients.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by the management.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, contracts, and rate agreements.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Reservations, Banquet, and Food & Beverage departments for guest requirements.
- Handle inquiries received through phone, email, social media, and online platforms.
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, promotions, and special events.
- Monitor competitors’ pricing, offers, and market trends and report to management.
- Maintain customer database and sales records and submit regular sales reports.
- Support digital marketing activities such as social media promotions, online listings, and customer engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Freshers with good communication and marketing skills may also be considered.
Skills Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Knowledge of hotel sales practices and customer service standards.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, email, internet, and social media platforms).
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets.
Working Conditions
- Field visits and client meetings are part of the role.
- Flexible working hours may be required during events, promotions, and business meetings.
