A Media Buying Manager for an ad agency oversees the purchase of ad space and Outdoor, Print and Electronic Media across Pan India, Outdoor sites, print, Radio and broadcast channels. They develop strategic media plans, negotiate ad rates with vendors, manage high-level campaign budgets, and analyze return on investment (ROI) to maximize client reach and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Translate client goals into effective, cross-channel media buying strategies.
- Vendor Negotiation: Build relationships with media owners, negotiate premium ad placements, and secure the most cost-effective rates.
- Budget Management: Oversee and distribute media budgets efficiently across various platforms to optimize campaign performance and minimize waste.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior media buyers and planners while collaborating with Operational and account management teams.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and provide clients with actionable reports on ROI and campaign improvements.
- Trend Analysis: Stay current with the latest media consumption habits, ad-tech platforms, and industry benchmarks.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: Typically 2–4 years in media planning or buying, with a proven track record of managing substantial advertising budgets.
- Platform Expertise: Proficiency in Media-buying of Outdoor Sites, Transit media assets, and making a strong and professional relationship with strong buying negotiations to deal with Print, Radio and T.V Channel platforms marketing teams.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong data-driven skills to interpret metrics and perform continuous campaign testing and optimization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and negotiation abilities, crucial for client-facing meetings and vendor dealings.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
