Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced BlueCrest ADF Workflow Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade document processing workflows and Azure-based data integration pipelines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in BlueCrest (Pitney Bowes) Automated Document Factory (ADF), Azure Data Factory, and cloud integration technologies to support high-volume batch processing, workflow orchestration, and enterprise document delivery.
This role requires strong technical expertise in integrating BlueCrest print/mail systems with Azure cloud services while ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing data pipelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorkflow & Data Pipeline Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Logic Apps pipelines for document ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Build scalable workflows to support high-volume document generation, processing, and distribution.
- Implement end-to-end orchestration of batch workflows across enterprise applications and BlueCrest platforms.
- Optimize workflow performance to ensure reliability and scalability.
BlueCrest Integration
- Integrate Azure Data Factory pipelines with BlueCrest (Pitney Bowes) print and mail processing systems.
- Automate print file generation, job scheduling, and output routing.
- Support document batching, sorting, postal optimization, and production workflows.
- Ensure seamless movement of data from upstream systems into print and digital communication channels.
Azure Integration & Cloud Solutions
- Develop cloud-based integrations using Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage/Data Lake, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
- Build data transformation pipelines handling XML, JSON, CSV, PDF, and other structured/unstructured file formats.
- Integrate enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, and core business systems.
- Implement secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud integration solutions.
Performance Optimization & Reliability
- Optimize batch processing workflows for high throughput and low latency.
- Implement monitoring, error handling, retry mechanisms, and failure recovery strategies.
- Ensure SLA compliance through proactive monitoring and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reliability.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and data management standards.
- Support audit requirements, document traceability, and operational documentation.
- Develop reusable workflow components and maintain technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in workflow engineering, ETL, or enterprise data integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with BlueCrest Automated Document Factory (ADF) and Pitney Bowes document processing systems.
- Expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Logic Apps.
- Experience designing and orchestrating enterprise data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of high-volume batch processing and workflow automation.
- Experience with ETL/ELT methodologies and data transformation.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, enterprise integration patterns, and file-based integrations (XML, JSON, CSV, print streams).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Quadient Inspire or other Customer Communication Management (CCM) platforms.
- Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture using Azure Service Bus or Event Grid.
- Experience in Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or other high-volume transactional industries.
- Familiarity with postal compliance and print/mail optimization processes.
