Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Wedding Album Designer to join our team. You will transform raw wedding photographs into stunning, cohesive, and high-end digital album layouts. Your role bridges photography and print, ensuring that each couple's unique love story is captured through elegant composition, flawless color grading, and meticulous storytelling.Key Responsibilities
- Layout Design: Create bespoke, visually balanced digital page layouts for wedding albums using specialized software.
- Photo Selection: Review high-volume photo libraries to select the best narrative-driven images that tell a seamless story.
- Photo Editing: Perform high-end retouching, color correction, skin smoothing, and object removal to ensure premium image quality.
- Client Collaboration: Communicate with clients to understand their aesthetic preferences, incorporate feedback, and execute requested revisions.
- Print Preparation: Manage color profiles, crop marks, Bleed margins, and export files to meet strict printing press specifications.
- Workflow Management: Handle multiple project deadlines simultaneously during peak wedding seasons while maintaining consistent quality.
Skills & Qualifications
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, and dedicated album builders (e.g., Fundy Designer, SmartAlbums).
- Artistic Eye: Strong grasp of typography, negative space, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in alignment, print-safe margins, consistent color tones, and catching minor image blemishes.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to navigate client feedback constructively and professionally.
- Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in wedding album design or professional photo editing with a strong portfolio.
Optional Attributes
- Experience working directly within a commercial photography studio or print lab environment.
- Knowledge of various album print materials, paper types (matte, glossy, lustre), and binding styles.
