Cogniter Technologies is looking for an experienced and creative Design Manager to lead our design team and oversee the delivery of high-quality digital, web, UI/UX, and graphic design projects.
The ideal candidate will combine strong design expertise with leadership, project management, and client/stakeholder coordination skills. You will be responsible for guiding designers, maintaining design quality and consistency, managing workloads, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and in line with business and client requirements.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of graphic, web, and UI/UX designers.
Assign projects and tasks based on team members' skills, experience, and workload.
Provide creative direction, constructive feedback, and guidance to improve team performance.
Conduct regular design reviews and ensure work meets established quality standards.
Identify skill gaps and support team members through coaching, training, and development.
Foster a collaborative, creative, and positive team environment.
Oversee multiple design projects from concept to final delivery.
Plan project timelines, priorities, resources, and deliverables.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Developers, Marketing Teams, Content Writers, and other stakeholders.
Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
Identify potential bottlenecks, resource constraints, and project risks and take corrective action.
Manage multiple priorities while ensuring consistency and quality across projects.
Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices across projects.
Review and approve designs before final delivery.
Ensure consistency in branding, typography, colors, layouts, visual hierarchy, and user experience.
Provide creative direction for websites, landing pages, mobile applications, marketing materials, social media creatives, and other digital assets.
Ensure designs are aligned with client requirements, business objectives, and current design trends.
Encourage experimentation with new ideas, tools, technologies, and design approaches.
Guide the team in developing intuitive and user-focused UI/UX designs.
Review wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes, and design systems.
Ensure responsive and user-friendly designs across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of approved designs.
Promote usability, accessibility, consistency, and performance-focused design practices.
Participate in client discussions to understand requirements, expectations, and feedback.
Present design concepts, recommendations, and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
Handle design-related queries, revisions, and escalations professionally.
Translate business and client requirements into clear creative direction for the design team.
Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Establish efficient design workflows, review processes, and documentation standards.
Identify opportunities to improve team productivity, quality, and turnaround time.
Introduce relevant tools, methodologies, and best practices to streamline design operations.
Maintain organized design libraries, assets, templates, and brand guidelines.
Stay updated with emerging design trends, AI-powered design tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
5–8 years of professional experience in Graphic Design, Web Design, UI/UX Design, or a related field.
Previous experience in a Design Lead, Design Manager, Senior Designer, or similar leadership role.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across web, graphic, UI/UX, and digital design.
Strong proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, or similar design applications.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
Experience managing and mentoring design teams.
Strong project planning, prioritization, and resource management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to design quality.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with international clients or global design teams.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and basic front-end development concepts.
Experience creating and maintaining design systems and brand guidelines.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, ClickUp, or similar project management platforms.
Experience with motion graphics, animation, or video editing is an added advantage.
Knowledge of accessibility and cross-browser design principles.
Familiarity with AI-based design and productivity tools is a plus.
