Job Summary
The PGT English Teacher is responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to students of Classes XI and XII in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will foster critical thinking, effective communication, creative expression, and academic excellence while preparing students for board examinations and higher education.
Key Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities
- Teach English Core/English Elective to Classes XI and XII as per CBSE guidelines.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and question papers.
- Deliver engaging and interactive classroom sessions using innovative teaching methodologies.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, and analytical skills.
- Prepare students for board examinations through regular assessments, revision plans, and feedback sessions.
- Evaluate answer sheets, projects, practical work, and maintain assessment records.
Student Development
- Encourage creative writing, debates, public speaking, literary activities, and reading habits.
- Mentor and guide students in academic and personal development.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support where required.
- Foster critical thinking, communication skills, and appreciation of literature.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Ensure effective classroom management and student engagement.
- Promote values, ethics, and professional conduct among students.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance records, assessment records, report cards, and academic documentation.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and provide progress updates.
- Assist in curriculum planning and academic coordination activities.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required by the school administration.
Co-Curricular Activities
- Organize and supervise literary clubs, competitions, debates, elocutions, and cultural events.
- Participate actively in school functions, assemblies, workshops, and training programs.
- Contribute to the overall development and reputation of the institution.
Qualifications & Experience
- M.A. in English from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. degree (mandatory).
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in Classes XI–XII (preferred).
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Sound knowledge of CBSE curriculum, assessment patterns, and board examination requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
