We are a reputed Fire Protection Engineering firm based in Thiruvananthapuram, with 30+ years of experience in Fire & Life Safety Systems, invites applications from qualified and competent B.Tech Engineers for our Design & Estimation Section.
We are engaged in the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and consultancy of Building Fire Protection Systems for hospitals, educational institutions, commercial buildings, residential apartments, industrial buildings, malls, hotels and other infrastructure projects across Kerala.
Position: Design Engineer – Fire Fighting / MEPQualification Required
B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Candidates having additional knowledge in MEP services, Fire Fighting Systems, Plumbing Systems, Electrical layouts, HVAC coordination, or Building Services Design will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate shall be responsible for:
- Preparation of Fire Fighting System drawings
- Preparation and review of MEP coordination drawings
- Study and interpretation of architectural, structural and service drawings
- Preparation of BOQ, quantity take-off and estimation
- Preparation of tender drawings and technical documents
- Coordination with site engineers, project team, consultants, architects and clients
- Preparation of as-built drawings and documentation
- Basic design calculations for fire protection systems
- Assisting in Fire NOC documentation and compliance-related works
- Preparation of technical submittals, material approval documents and comparative statements
Required Skills
Candidates must have good working knowledge in:
- AutoCAD
- MS Excel
- BOQ preparation
- Quantity estimation
- MEP drawings
- Fire Fighting / Plumbing / Electrical layouts
- Basic understanding of building services
- Reading architectural and structural drawings
- Documentation and reporting
Knowledge of NBC, Kerala Fire & Rescue Services requirements, KMBR / KPBR, CPWD / tender procedures will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Freshers with strong technical aptitude may apply.
- Candidates with 1–3 years’ experience in MEP / Fire Fighting / Building Services design will be preferred.
- Candidates having experience in contracting firms, consultancy firms, construction companies or MEP firms will be given preference.
