About the Role:
The Manager of Purchase – SCM at Sigachi will be responsible for procurement of KSM, Intermediates, Solvents/ Chemicals, API’s, Packing materials & Revenue items. Develop Purchase Strategy, Review & process purchase orders, maintain records of goods orders received and negotiate prices & contracts with suppliers.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Planning of Procurement of KSM, Intermediates, Solvents/ Chemicals, & Packing Materials and development of Vendor base as per approved specifications.
- Build & Maintain relationship with Vendors and Vendor evaluation based on Quality, Quantity, Timeliness & Price.
- Delivery Schedule fulfilment of Orders, Price & Service Comparisons of every Order.
- Ensure Quality of procured Items & addresses problems when arise.
- Knowledge on inputs for API’s / KSM / Intermediates/ Solvents.
- Track Inventory & restock goods for C&D Category materials.
- Compare available goods with Trends to determine appropriate pricing.
- Knowledge of Coal procurement through general quota or outsourcing.
- Maintain track on Suppliers Payments and invoices processing and evaluate the requirement based on commercial and technical factors.
- Train and supervise the work of other members.
- Knowledge of Statutory Documentation like ISO, GMP etc.
Job Specification:
- 8-10 years of experience preferably in Bulk Drug manufacturing/ Pharmaceutical background.
- Knowledge of ERP, SAP, experience of Software & Database Purchase.
- Excellent Organizational & Communication Skills, Negotiation & analytical skills & Vendor management skills.
Qualification – Bachelor’s / master’s degree in any discipline. MBA is an added advantage.
