We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for our automotive battery manufacturing operations. The role involves sourcing raw materials, components, and services while ensuring cost efficiency, quality compliance, and timely availability to support uninterrupted production.

Handle end-to-end procurement of raw materials such as lead, chemicals, plastic components, separators, and packaging materials

Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and value optimization

Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies

Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays and stockouts

Coordinate with production, quality, and warehouse teams for requirement planning and inventory control

Monitor supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost parameters

Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations related to battery materials (especially hazardous materials like lead and acid)

Maintain procurement records, documentation, and MIS reports

Track market trends, price fluctuations, and supply risks in key raw materials

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or related field

2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in automotive, battery, or manufacturing industry

Strong knowledge of vendor management and negotiation techniques

Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

Good understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes

Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Experience in sourcing lead, lithium, or battery-related components

Knowledge of hazardous material handling and compliance standards
