Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Assistant Professor in Radiology & Imaging Technology (RIT) to join our academic institution. The candidate will be responsible for teaching theoretical and practical subjects related to radiology, medical imaging, and imaging technology, while supporting students in their academic and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and practical training in Radiology and Imaging Technology subjects.
- Teach subjects related to X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Radiation Physics, and other medical imaging techniques, as per the approved curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, assignments, and examination papers.
- Conduct practical classes and supervise laboratory and clinical training.
- Evaluate students through examinations, assignments, practical assessments, and internal evaluations.
- Maintain student attendance, academic records, and departmental documentation.
- Guide and mentor students regarding academic performance and career development.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety procedures for radiology and imaging equipment.
- Promote awareness and compliance with radiation safety standards and institutional guidelines.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic activities, seminars, workshops, and faculty development programmes.
- Assist in examination, admission, accreditation, and other academic and administrative duties.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal or Management.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Radiology, Medical Imaging Technology, Radiological Imaging Technology, or a relevant allied health science discipline from a recognized University or Institution.
- Qualification must be as per the norms of the concerned University and applicable regulatory authorities.
- Candidates with teaching experience and higher qualifications will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of radiology and medical imaging technology.
- Good teaching and practical training skills.
- Knowledge of X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and radiation safety.
- Excellent communication and student mentoring abilities.
- Good computer and academic documentation skills.
Experience
Freshers and experienced candidates may apply, subject to the required qualifications. Previous teaching or clinical experience in Radiology and Imaging Technology will be preferred.
Salary
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institutional norms.
