Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Quality Control (QC) to lead quality control operations in our Ayurveda manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in analytical testing, regulatory compliance, laboratory management, documentation, and team leadership while ensuring adherence to GMP and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and train the Quality Control team to ensure operational excellence.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all daily quality control testing activities.
- Oversee sample collection, testing schedules, and timely release of analytical results.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve testing protocols and analytical methods.
- Perform quality analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples using approved analytical techniques.
- Review, revise, and update SOPs and STPs in line with regulatory requirements and method improvements.
- Ensure calibration, qualification, maintenance, and proper documentation of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Investigate quality deviations, including OOS (Out of Specification), OOT (Out of Trend), and OOC (Out of Calibration/Control) results, and implement effective CAPA.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, R&D, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Prepare and present periodic QC performance reports to management.
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of Current Good Laboratory Practices (CGLP) across the laboratory.
- Monitor instrument status, calibration schedules, and laboratory documentation.
- Prepare monthly Quality Control reports for management review and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct periodic internal audits of QC processes and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Support and coordinate internal, customer, and regulatory audits, including inspection readiness.
- Periodically review and update SOPs, testing methods, and documentation in accordance with changing regulatory guidelines and operational requirements.
Desired Skills
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, CGLP, and Ayurvedic manufacturing regulations.
- Sound understanding of analytical testing techniques and laboratory operations.
- Hands-on experience in handling OOS, OOT, OOC investigations, and CAPA.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and record management skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and regulatory authorities.
