Qualification : B.Sc Radiology and Imaging Technology
Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a CT & X-Ray Technician (experience in a hospital setting preferred).

The CT & X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and CT (Computed Tomography) scans, in compliance with physician directives and industry standards. This position ensures the safety, accuracy, and efficiency of imaging procedures while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Preparation & Positioning:
- Prepare patients for X-ray and CT procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure proper positioning of the patient and use protective measures to reduce radiation exposure.
2. Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
- Operate X-ray and CT machines, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the relevant department for repairs.
3. Imaging Procedures:
- Perform X-ray and CT scans as per physician orders.
- Adjust imaging parameters and select the appropriate techniques based on the patient's condition and diagnostic requirements.
- Review images for clarity and accuracy before submitting them for physician interpretation.
4. Radiation Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and oneself.
- Use lead shields, aprons, and other protective devices when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national regulations regarding radiation use and safety.
5. Documentation & Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all imaging procedures performed.
- Ensure that patient reports are properly stored and accessible to authorized personnel.
6. Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
- Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care.
- Assist in coordinating imaging schedules to minimize patient wait times.
7. Patient Care & Comfort:
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after imaging procedures, providing assistance if needed.
8. Quality Control & Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in quality control programs to ensure imaging procedures meet required standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technologies and techniques.
