Job Summary
The Sales Executive is responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market coverage, maintaining strong relationships with distributors and retailers, and ensuring product availability in the assigned territory. The role requires regular market visits, customer relationship management, and execution of sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
- Increase product visibility and availability across the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular market visits and customer meetings.
Distributor & Retailer Management
- Monitor distributor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Support distributors in achieving sales targets.
- Resolve distributor and retailer concerns promptly.
- Ensure proper execution of company schemes and promotions.
Market Analysis
- Collect and report market intelligence, competitor activities, pricing, and customer feedback.
- Analyze sales trends and recommend improvement strategies.
- Identify opportunities for product placement and market expansion.
Sales Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, orders, and collections.
- Submit sales forecasts and market reports to management.
Collections & Payment Follow-up
- Follow up on outstanding payments from customers.
- Ensure collections are received within the agreed credit period.
- Coordinate with the accounts department regarding payment issues.
Merchandising & Promotion
- Ensure proper product display and visibility at retail outlets.
- Implement promotional activities and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor the effectiveness of trade promotions and provide feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
- 1–5 years of FMCG sales experience.
- Freshers with strong communication skills may also apply.
