Position: DevOps Engineer

Hexxcell is seeking to fill a full-time position for a talented seasoned DevOps Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure automation, cloud-native deployments, and production-grade systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for scalable architectures and reliability engineering, with deep experience across Kubernetes and AWS.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role or similar infrastructure engineering function.
- Expertise with Kubernetes (K8s), including production deployments, cluster configuration, and performance tuning.
- Advanced experience with AWS services, such as:
- EC2, S3, IAM, VPC
- EKS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Route53
- Linux systems administration (preferably Debian/Ubuntu or RedHat-based distros), including:
- Shell scripting (Bash or Zsh)
- System-level monitoring
- Network configuration and security hardening
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Kubernetes & Container Orchestration
- Experience with kubeadm for on-prem or custom cluster provisioning.
- Familiarity with Helm for packaging and deploying Kubernetes applications.
- Hands-on with Kustomize, CRI-O, and Calico or other CNI plugins.
CI/CD & Automation
- Deep experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Proficient in managing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using:
- Terraform (preferred)
- CloudFormation
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Go, or Shell for custom tooling and glue code.
Observability & Monitoring
- Experience configuring and managing:
- Prometheus + Grafana
- ELK/EFK Stack
- Datadog, New Relic, or Cloud-native tools like AWS CloudWatch
- Ability to define and tune metrics, SLOs, and alerting strategies.
Security & Compliance
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with:
- Secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
- Security scanning tools (Trivy, Aqua, Snyk)
- Compliance automation (e.g., CIS benchmarks, OpenSCAP)
Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Environments
- Exposure to GCP or Azure is a plus.
- Experience with hybrid cloud or edge deployments.
Testing & Chaos Engineering
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for infrastructure (e.g., Terratest).
- Experience with chaos engineering tools like Chaos Mesh or Gremlin is an advantage.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Experience designing and maintaining backup strategies and DR plans in cloud and on-premise setups.

Pay: ₹1,090,000.00 - ₹1,770,000.00 per year
