KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Review and analyze User Stories, Requirements, and Design Documents to ensure complete test coverage and identify quality risks early.
- Define and own test strategies, test plans, and testing approaches for embedded, mobile, and web applications.
- Create, review, and maintain detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Perform Manual and Automation Testing across: Mobile applications, Embedded systems, Web applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Perform REST API testing using Postman (Manual and Automation).
- Conduct Database Testing to validate data integrity, accuracy, and transactions.
- Execute System, Integration, Regression, and UAT support testing.
- Identify, log, track, and validate defects using JIRA, ensuring proper defect lifecycle management.
- Prepare and present test execution reports, quality metrics, and release readiness status.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects to identify process and quality improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
- Mentor and guide junior test engineers, including test case reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the improvement of test processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Continuously update testing knowledge, tools, and industry trends.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Maintain Trainual completion rate ≥ 95%.
- Meet all sprint commitments, cycle times, and testing milestones.
- Deliver high‑quality test cases with strong coverage and minimal leakage.
- Effective and timely defect detection with clear documentation.
- Active contribution to process improvement, automation, and quality initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring effectiveness.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Electronics and Telecommunication or equivalent.
- 6–8+ years of experience in Software Testing, with exposure to senior or lead responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands‑on experience testing Mobile, and Web applications.
- Automation knowledge is required (framework development or maintenance).
- Basic to intermediate programming knowledge in Java and/or Python.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman (REST).
- Knowledge of Database testing and SQL.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG (or equivalent).
- Proven ability to write clear test documentation and reports.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team‑oriented environment.
- Relevant certifications are a plus:
