Job Summary
A Physics Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging physics lessons that promote students' understanding of scientific concepts and principles. The teacher fosters critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scientific inquiry while maintaining a positive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver physics lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
- Teach fundamental and advanced physics concepts, including mechanics, electricity, magnetism, optics, thermodynamics, and modern physics.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, laboratory activities, and assessments.
- Conduct practical experiments and ensure laboratory safety procedures are followed.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress through tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students.
- Encourage students to participate in science fairs, competitions, and research activities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into classroom instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration to support student development.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physics or a related field.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification (as required).
- Strong knowledge of physics concepts and laboratory practices.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
