Job Summery
We are looking for a proactive, customer-focused, and result-oriented Sales Lead to join our SaaS-based IT company. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new business opportunities, renewals, upselling, and cross-selling while also managing strong customer relationships throughout the sales cycle. The ideal candidate should be able to engage prospects confidently, build long-term client relationships, understand customer needs, and convert opportunities into business growth through effective sales strategy and commercial discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sales activities including prospecting, lead follow-up, product demos, proposal discussions, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects across the sales cycle.
- Manage inbound and outbound sales pipelines and ensure timely follow-up on all qualified opportunities.
- Identify business opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, renewals, and account expansion within existing customers.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs, pain points, and business objectives.
- Present product value clearly and position solutions based on customer requirements.
- Handle commercial discussions related to pricing, proposals, renewals, and contract negotiations in coordination with leadership.
- Work closely with internal teams including product, marketing, support, and technical teams to support the sales process and customer experience.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, opportunity status, and forecasting visibility.
- Track key sales metrics such as lead conversion, renewal rate, pipeline health, expansion opportunities, and revenue contribution.
- Collaborate on account strategies to improve retention, customer satisfaction, and long-term value.
- Act as a customer advocate by sharing market feedback, customer needs, and product improvement insights with internal stakeholders.
- Mentor or guide junior sales team members when needed and support team performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Management, or a related field.
- 6 to 9 years of experience in SaaS sales, business development, account management, or customer success with strong sales exposure.
- Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closure.
- Strong understanding of SaaS products, customer lifecycle, and revenue growth strategies.
- Experience in handling renewals, upselling, cross-selling, and commercial negotiations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and convert them into business opportunities.
- Experience using CRM tools for pipeline and account management.
- Strong ownership, follow-up, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Management, or a related field.
- Experience in selling SaaS or IT services to the US market.
- Ability to conduct product demos and sales presentations independently.
- Exposure to account-based selling, consultative selling, and revenue expansion strategies.
- Familiarity with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and conversion tracking.
- Team handling or mentoring experience is an added advantage.
