Role Summary
We're looking for an early-career Mechanical Engineer to support the design, fabrication, and on-site installation of Special Purpose Machines and industrial systems. This role blends design-room work with shop-floor and field execution ideal for someone who wants to see a machine through from drawing to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify mechanical design and fabrication drawings (2D/3D)
- Support the build of Special Purpose Machines, skids, and control panels
- Coordinate with fabrication vendors and machine shops on part manufacturing
- Assist in mechanical assembly, alignment, and pre-dispatch testing
- Travel to client sites for installation, mechanical erection, and commissioning
- Support piping, structural, and MEP-related mechanical work as needed
- Prepare BOMs, GA drawings, and basic documentation
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during assembly and on site
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 1–2 years of experience in machine building, fabrication, or a related industry
- Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Understanding of fabrication processes, fits, tolerances, and materials
- Willingness to travel and work at client sites when required
- Good problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a team
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to Special Purpose Machines, pneumatics, or hydraulics
- Experience in pharma, food & beverage, or process industries
- Familiarity with sheet metal and machined-part design
