About Us
Salto Gymnastics Academy runs multi-discipline movement centres in Bengaluru, with facilities in Thanisandra and Whitefield. We are expanding our adult programming at Thanisandra and are looking for a qualified Aerial Yoga teacher to build and lead our aerial batches.
Role Overview
You will design and deliver Aerial Yoga classes for adults across beginner to advanced levels. You will own class quality, participant safety, and the growth and retention of your batches.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Aerial Yoga classes using hammocks and slings, with structured progressions from foundation through to advanced inversions and transitions
- Teach safe entry, exit, and spotting techniques, and adapt sequences for mixed-ability groups
- Assess new participants for fitness level, injuries, and contraindications before enrolment
- Inspect all rigging, hammocks, carabiners, anchor points, and crash mats before every session, and escalate any safety concern immediately
- Maintain equipment logs and follow load and wear-replacement protocols
- Track attendance, participant progress, and batch retention, and share updates with the centre manager
- Run trial classes, demo sessions, and open days to convert enquiries into enrolments
- Keep the studio clean, safe, and welcoming
Requirements
- Certified Aerial Yoga or Antigravity Yoga instructor from a recognised training body
- RYT 200 or equivalent yoga teacher training qualification
- Minimum [3] years of experience teaching aerial classes to adult groups
- Sound understanding of anatomy, alignment, and injury contraindications
- Confident working at height with rigging equipment, and willing to enforce safety protocols without exception
- Strong communication skills in English, plus Kannada or Hindi
- Current First Aid or CPR certification is an advantage
