1. Bakery Production & Cuisine Excellence
- Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of bakery items including breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty baked goods to academy standards.
- Ensure consistent quality in taste, texture, appearance, and portioning for all products.
2. Recipe Development & Innovation
- Develop, standardize, and document recipes for new and classic bakery creations.
- Collaborate with faculty or management to keep the curriculum updated with trending bakery techniques.
3. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Plan daily and weekly baking schedules that match teaching sessions and student practical requirements.
- Forecast required raw materials and batch quantities to minimize waste and ensure smooth operations.
4. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor ingredient stocks and baking supplies.
- Assist in requisitioning materials and maintain inventory records accurately.
- Support cost-effective baking without compromising quality.
5. Training & Team Development
- Guide, train, and mentor students and junior assistants on professional bakery techniques and best practices.
- Encourage a learning environment focused on precision, hygiene, creativity, and teamwork.
6. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure the bakery lab meets food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI / HACCP best practices).
- Maintain clean workstations, ovens, utensils, and baking equipment at all times. 7. Presentation & Quality Standards
- Oversee the visual presentation of baked products to teach students industry-level finishing and styling.
- Perform quality checks before products are used for demos, student evaluations, or display.
8. Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute ideas for kitchen process improvements, waste reduction, and enhanced student outcomes.
- Track baked product performance based on student feedback, class results, and quality assessments.
