Role Overview:
We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our creative capabilities and potential clients. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering long-term client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic event partnerships, corporate bookings, and brand activations.
Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Development: Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business leads through cold calling, networking, and industry research.
Consultative Selling: Understand client needs, budget constraints, and event objectives to propose tailored, high-impact event solutions.
Proposal Management: Craft compelling pitch decks, cost estimates, and presentations that showcase our unique value proposition.
Networking & Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand our professional network and brand presence.
Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate and updated CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to track leads, client interactions, and progress toward sales targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, production, and creative teams to ensure proposed events are feasible, profitable, and aligned with company standards.
Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on project scope, pricing, and service agreements to ensure win-win outcomes for the company and the client.
Market Analysis: Keep a pulse on current trends, competitor activity, and pricing shifts within the event management industry to keep our service offerings competitive.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in B2B business development, preferably within the event management, hospitality, or experiential marketing industry.
Sales Acumen: Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. You must be able to sell the "vision" of an event with passion and confidence.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify market gaps and pivot strategies quickly based on changing industry trends.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho) and standard office productivity suites (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva).
Professional Presence: Ability to build instant rapport with corporate executives, brand managers, and high-net-worth individuals.
Resilience: A proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to handle rejection professionally and maintain momentum during the sales process.
