Job Summary
The Girls Hostel Warden is responsible for the overall supervision, safety, discipline, welfare, and well-being of students residing in the girls' hostel. The warden ensures a secure, healthy, and supportive living environment while maintaining hostel rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor all hostel residents.
- Ensure students' safety, security, discipline, and well-being.
- Maintain hostel attendance and daily records.
- Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and code of conduct.
- Address students' concerns, complaints, and personal issues with sensitivity.
- Coordinate with school administration, parents, and teaching staff regarding student welfare.
- Organize hostel activities and ensure students' participation in academic and co-curricular programs.
- Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel facilities.
- Ensure proper medical care and emergency response for students when required.
- Manage hostel staff such as caretakers, housekeeping staff, and support personnel.
- Maintain records of visitors, leave permissions, and student movements.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and hostel premises.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (Postgraduate preferred).
- Experience in hostel administration, student welfare, or residential institutions preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle emergencies and maintain discipline.
- Basic computer knowledge for record keeping.
