Senior Azure AI Security Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Azure AI Security Engineer to lead the end-to-end security implementation of enterprise Generative AI solutions built on Microsoft Azure. The successful candidate will own the security architecture, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps processes across the complete AI lifecycle. Reporting to the Technical Project Manager, you will act as a primary technical authority for securing production-grade AI models and applications, ensuring they are resilient against emerging threats.
Key Responsibilities
AI Security & Architecture
- Lead end-to-end security implementation for Generative AI projects from initial design through to production deployment.
- Design and implement secure Azure architectures specifically tailored for AI applications.
- Protect AI systems against specialized threats including prompt injection, jailbreaks, model inversion, and data leakage.
- Secure RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines, vector databases, AI agents, and inference endpoints.
Azure Cloud & Infrastructure Security
- Configure and manage security for Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Firewall, WAF, and Private Endpoints.
- Enforce robust identity and access management using Entra ID and secure secret management via Azure Key Vault.
- Monitor for adversarial attacks and supply-chain risks within the AI ecosystem.
- Perform application code security reviews, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment.
DevSecOps & Governance
- Implement secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to automate security gates.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security tools with Terraform or Bicep templates.
- Perform regular threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration remediation.
- Collaborate with AI Engineers and DevOps teams to embed security standards throughout the SDLC.
- Conduct continuous security monitoring and provide detailed reports on system integrity.
Qualifications
Essential
- Experience: 7-8 years in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or Cloud Security, with at least 2 years specifically focused on securing enterprise Generative AI applications.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, AKS, and Azure DevOps.
- Security Tools: Proven proficiency with Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, WAF, NSGs, and Private Link.
- Frameworks: Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, and NIST AI RMF.
- Automation: Proficiency in scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and experience with Terraform or Bicep.
- Attributes: Proven ability to independently design and manage security across complex cloud infrastructures.
- Security: Perform application code security reviews, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment to identify, prioritize, and remediate security risks throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Preferred
- Certifications: AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer), AI-102 (Azure AI Engineer), SC-200, SC-300, CISSP, CKS, or CEH.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in a BPO, Enterprise IT, or global service environment.
