- Listed Derivatives and Clearing (LD&C) is an agency execution and clearing business with a clientele of Hedge Funds, Real Money Managers and Large Institutional Clients. Deutsche Bank provides Execution, clearing and settlement services for a comprehensive range of exchange traded derivatives (futures and options). These services are provided to both institutional clients and internal trading desks.
- The LD&C team in DB Centre plays a pivotal role in achieving the overall business objective - expansion into new markets, evolution of existing services within its traditional markets and building business with existing and new clients.
Role Overview
- Deutsche Bank seeks a skilled professional for our LD&C Funding team. This role is crucial for managing funding requirements and optimizing capital costs for our listed derivatives business.
- You will ensure efficient funding, manage collateral, and optimize balance sheet usage in a dynamic environment. Role will also involve building tools to track and optimize Cash, Collateral and track daily Profit and Loss (P&L) movements.

Your key responsibilities
- Funding Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute funding strategies for listed derivatives (futures, options). Manage daily funding and margin calls; optimize funding sources.
- Collateral Management: Oversee collateral for listed derivatives; optimize allocation and efficiency.
- Balance Sheet & RWA Optimization: Manage balance sheet utilization, focusing on RWA and leverage ratio optimization.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and regulatory changes impacting funding.
- Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal teams (Trading, Treasury, Risk, Technology, Business Management and Product) and external counterparties.
- Reporting & Analytics: Prepare reports on funding costs and collateral; enhance analytical tools.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with policies and regulations; identify and mitigate risks.
- Project Participation: Contribute to projects related to new products and system enhancements.
Your skills and experience
- Experience: 2-5 years relevant experience in funding, treasury, collateral management, or derivatives operations
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of listed derivatives products, funding mechanics, margin methodologies, and clearing processes. Knowledge of treasury principles, collateral management, and relevant regulatory frameworks (UMR, Basel). Proficiency in financial modelling (Excel, Python). Working knowledge of data handling (Python, SQL) and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI would be plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics, or a Quantitative field. CFA/FRM a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Proactive and accountable.
