The JustJobs Network (JJN) seeks applications from qualified candidates for the position of
Research Director, based in New Delhi. JJN is an applied research organisation working on one of the most pressing challenges of our time: how to promote more and better work in a rapidly changing 21st-century economy. We produce actionable research on good job creation, workforce development, and labour market governance. As forces like climate change, the energy transition, technological advancement and trade shocks disrupt labour markets, JJN goes beyond large-scale macroeconomic analysis, bringing grounded research on how these dynamics unfold across different ecologies, geographies, and economic contexts. We work with multilateral institutions, national, state and local governments, and civil society and grassroots organisations to ground policy and practice in evidence. We convene a global network of policymakers, academics, business and grassroots leaders to amplify the impact of our research, forging a dynamic channel for policy dialogue on employment at local, national, regional, and international levels. Unlike more traditional research organisations, JJN brings data to life through stories, lived experiences, and on-the-ground realities driving a systemic shift toward stronger, more inclusive labour markets and economies. The Research Director role at JustJobs Network requires a highly motivated individual with strong leadership capacity to help define JJN’s research priorities, drive the execution of projects and deliver meaningful outcomes. The successful candidate will be part of JJN’s leadership team defining the strategic direction of the organization, helping engage with stakeholders, raise funds, and define the culture of the organization. JJN is a purpose driven organisation, and the leadership must uphold this ethos.
